Born in Dorset. Trained and worked in London and then locally.

Married with three grown up children. Keen on sport and the outdoors, walking my English Springer Spaniel dogs and more recently learning some history!

Born and brought up in Bournemouth and trained in London. After graduating he worked in a variety of hospital specialties in Dorset, Cornwall, Devon, Scotland and Australia and in general practice posts in Scotland and New Zealand before joining the Westbourne team.

He is married and has a daughter and hobbies include tennis and skiing.

Trained in Manchester then worked as a GP in New Zealand and North Dorset before joining Westbourne in October 2014. Enjoys teaching and training junior doctors to become GPs.

Married with three children. Keen on the outdoors, snowboarding and cycling.

Qualified as a doctor in 2001, initially trained in Orthopaedic surgery and passed Membership Exam from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2006. Inspired by the diverse and fulfilling nature of work of a General Practitioner- retrained to become one. Work as a GP with Specialist Interest in Musculo-Skeletal Medicine.

Happily married with two boys. Enjoys traveling around the world and experiencing new cultures. Lives locally in Poole.

Dr. Gavin Smith is a versatile medical professional with expertise in general practice, leading in Diabetes, Respiratory, and Mental Health. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Southampton and completed a degree in physiology at King’s College London. As a partner at Westbourne Medical Centre in Dorset, he leads initiatives to enhance patient care. Additionally, Dr. Gavin Smith represents the Dorset GP Alliance, advocating for healthcare improvements. Beyond his career, he enjoys outdoor activities and family time as a husband and father of girls.

Dr Foster grew up in Poole before studying medicine at the University of Bristol and training around the South West and Manchester. She has a particular interest and specialist diploma in Child Health and loves the breadth of variety general practice in our community can bring.

Married to a local consultant general surgeon, she has 2 young sons who love to get outdoors and are equally happy cooking, reading and getting artistic at home.

Born and raised in southern Germany, moved to UK as a medical student in 1995, qualified in 1996. Joined the Southampton GP vocational training scheme. Moved to Sydney, Australia in 2000 for my husband’s fellowship training. I worked in a busy Emergency Department at St Vincent’s Hospital until 2003. After that I moved to Bournemouth and worked as a GP on the East Cliff alongside working in the Breast Clinic in Poole Hospital for 10 years.

I am married and have 3 children, outside of work I love the outdoors, especially sea swimming, mountain biking and skiing. To relax I enjoy reading and yoga.

After training in Paediatrics and getting her membership, moved into General Practice which she really enjoys.

Dr Godfray studied medicine at Cardiff University and completed foundation training in South Wales before moving to Dorset for GP training.

Outside of work she enjoys pilates, travelling and exploring the local coastline with my husband who is also a local GP.

Graduated from Southampton Medical School in 2016, having previously gained a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience from Barts and The London. After moving to Dorset, completed foundation and GP training in Bournemouth, including time as a GP Registrar at Westbourne Medical Centre, qualifying as a GP in 2022.
Since then, I have worked locally and am delighted to return to Westbourne Medical Centre as a Salaried GP.
I live in Poole with my husband, who is also a GP, and our young daughter. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, reformer Pilates, travelling, and sea swimming along the Dorset coast.

Born and raised in Dubai, my training and work across a range of medical specialties in London have shaped both my competency & professional standards.

I am passionate about health promotion in primary care, supported by my experience in Pediatrics & Emergency Medicine in the BCP region. I also have a growing interest in Women’s Health and practice a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Experienced Advanced Practitioner with a background in Emergency, Critical care and Prehospital Emergency Care. Trained at Kings College London, Bournemouth University, University of West England. Current Doctoral candidate at Birmingham City University.  Worked across a variety of specialties in hospitals in London, Somerset and Hants before moving into prehospital emergency care. Since leaving the ambulance service has developed a passion for family, gender and reproductive health, Mental health and MSK pain management in primary care.  Lives locally with partner and family.  Enjoys costal hikes and reading.
